2024 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
With the qualifying for the A, B and A Plate Sections on the 3rd and 4th of August, less than two weeks away I am hoping there is a good entry for the Club Championship this year.
SECTIONS & QUALIFYING BASED ON PLAYING HANDICAP NOT HANDICAP INDEX
A SECTION UP TO 8
B SECTION 9 TO 18
The qualifying is a 36-hole event so your playing handicap will be the same for Saturday and Sunday and will determine the Section you qualify for.
There will be 12 Qualifiers for the A Section and 16 for the B Section ties will be decided on the best individual round.
In the A Section there will be 4 first round ties in the match play producing 8 players for the quarter finals.
The 4 players with the lowest qualifying scores will receive a bye into the last 8 – any ties will be decided by the better individual round.
All members including the C Section and Seniors can play in the Franchi Trophy which is awarded to the best 36-hole net total over the weekend
There’s also a trophy for the best gross aggregate score.
The tee is booked both days between 7.30am and 2.00pm specifically for the qualifying however if you are unable to play during this period you can play at any other time of the day.
Any Senior members who qualified for the A or B Senior Club Championships and lost their first-round ties can qualify for the Club A, B and A Plate Championship.
All first-round ties in the A and B Seniors Championships and the C Section Championship have to be completed by Friday 2nd of August.
This is the first year we have decided to complete all Championships inside 8 days and a schedule showing the match play times can be seen by clicking HERE
We need referees for the finals – if you would like to help us out by refereeing a final, please get in touch with The Shop
