COVID 19 UPDATE
In line with the Governments’ statement to close all pubs, clubs and restaurants etc the Brasserie closed, indefinitely, from 4pm yesterday evening.
Mike Robson, our Club Manager and Secretary, is in daily contact with Alastair McCLung, our landlord and owner of Swanston Farm, as the situation continues to progress.
At this time, Alastair has sought to assure us he will continue to support the Club so our members can continue to play golf and practice on our excellent facilities.
The Directors planned response to this event is to keep all the facilities open and available for play until we are instructed, for public safety reasons, otherwise.
The Club have taken many of the corona virus detection prevention measures recommended to ensure we have created the safest environment possible. You must take your own additional measures to enhance your own personal protection and follow all advice and guidance.
The Templar Bar and locker rooms will be accessible daily between 7.30am and 4pm – all other areas of the Clubhouse will be inaccessible and will be secured and alarmed. Alastair, along with Mike Robson and the Shop staff will be responsible for securing the “open” areas at 4pm.
Regarding Club Competitions Matches and Events
You will not be surprised to learn that the Directors of the Club have taken the decision to cancel all Club events and matches up to and including the 31st of May – this is in line with all sporting clubs and organisations both amateur and professional throughout the country.
The Match Play, Terry Holmes and Chapman Trophy events will not be played this year.
Other events on the Fixture Card organised by third parties, I am sure will also be cancelled.
The Directors will continue to monitor the situation daily and any major changes will be notified through the Clubs social media channels and direct E-mails like this one to you.
