This is a new event run by the Secretaries of Edinburgh Golf Clubs – it is envisaged that the Templar Course will be the permanent venue for this competition.
The Templar Course will be closed from 7.30am to 6.00pm on Thursday 5th of August

All matches will be match play over 9 holes
Each team will consist of 3 players
1 playing a singles match and the other two in a Better Ball match against the other team
If an overall match is all square after 9 holes, only the singles game plays on until there is a winner.
The entire event will be played on Thursday 5th of August
There is no need for team members to have a handicap however team members must not have a handicap less than 24
Team members will be aged 14 and under.
Tee times for all the teams first matches are actual times and thereafter approximate.
For the 4 teams knocked out in the First Round there will be a consolation Texas Scramble over 9 holes starting at approximately 1.00pm.
Mortonhall v Prestonfield Match
As the winners of this tie will get a bye through to the semi-finals at 2.20pm it’s only fair that they play their first round tie later at 11.10am rather than the winners hanging around from about 11.00am until 2.20pm had the tie been play in the order of the draw.
The losing team of the Mortonhall v Prestonfield tie will tee off last in the consolation event.
The best gross score will determine the Winners of the consolation event.
Food will be available all day for participating teams
Any assistance from Club officials and parents will be much appreciated on the day
