The Club was saddened to hear of the passing of Ian Cowe last Thursday and we all send our condolences to his wife, Kathleen and the family.
Ian was 80 years old and one of our longest serving members.
I have been told that Ian joined the Club around 1967/68 and after his first round he allegedly said – “No, this is not the course for me” he remained a member for nearly 60 years!
Ian’s funeral is on Saturday the 24th of August at Mortonhall at 11.00am to which all members are invited after the funeral the family have also invited members to join them upstairs in the Brasserie about 12.15am.
