The Club was sad to hear of the passing of one of our ex-members, Jimmy (Jim) Cameron.
John Lunn has kindly contributed the following.
Jimmy ( Jim ) Cameron passed at home on the 24th of October aged 88 years.
Jim was a member of Swanston for almost 40 years joining in 1970.
After recovering from a stroke about 12 years ago he was limited to playing only the Templar Course until he had to stop playing due to poor eyesight and limited mobility.
Latterly he enjoyed coming up weekly to the Brasserie for a chat, coffee and bacon roll and always looked forward to attending the Seniors Annual Christmas Lunch.
He is survived by his wife Isobel and daughter Pauline.
Jim’s funeral is on Wednesday the 11th of November at 11.30am at Mortonhall Crematorium.
After the funeral there will be a reception in Swanston Brasserie to which everyone is invited.
